Some Home Preparations to Get Rid of the Problem

Stye is a bacterial infection which affects the eyes in a human body. It is not very harmful forsty home remedies the eyes. It appears as a small lump in and around the eyelid. It spreads by rubbing the eyes. They can occur at any age and they do not affect the power of vision.

Staphylococcal bacteria causes sty. It appears in the form of a soft tender lump. Slowly it swells up.

The eyes appear to be red one has an itchy feeling as if a foreign body is inside the eyes. The eyes appear watery and one experiences pain. The lump develops a head and is filled with liquid called pus. It should not be squeezed. It should be allowed to drain naturally.

Cotton pads soaked in warm water should be put on eyes several times a day. It helps in draining of pus.

One tablespoon of coriander seeds should be boiled in water. After boiling the water should be drained and allowed to cool later this water can be used as eye wash 3 to 5 times a day. This helps in reducing the swelling.

Wet tea bags can also be used in getting relief from sty. They can be placed on eyes for 8 to 10 minutes several times a day. They give fast relief.

Guava leaves warmed and placed on a damp cloth can be used as a compress. They help in reducing pain redness as well as swelling.

A paste of potato spread on a cloth and applied on the affected area helps in reducing swelling.

Mix turmeric powder in two cups of water. Boil the mixture so that it is reduced to half of the quantity. This mixture should be strained from a cotton cloth and used as an eye drop twice or thrice a day.

The aloe leaf slit lengthwise and the pulpy side applied on the affected area helps in reducing swelling and redness.

Two three grams alum dissolved in water can be used as eye wash.

By trying these remedies and observing cleanliness one can get rid of sty.
